Groningen, Netherlands.

I haven`t posted anything for along time on my blog. I`m so sorry for it, maybe it was because of absence of inspiration. But fortunately  I`m here & I`m ready for work with some new photos & stories for you, my friends.

So, today I`m going to represent my one day journey to Groningen, Netherlands. I`ve been dreamed to visit Holland for along time. I read about this country a lot of articles & saw many pics. Well... finally I`ve been there at the end of May, took some photos in raining city.

 Ok, I thought how can I start my story about Groningen. I began to think what I remember & what exactly appear in my mind when I try to describe my feelings.

As you can imagine ,I was so happy, my thoughts were like `Well... I`m here, I`m exited` & something like that. At once , I fall in love with it brown houses, bikes and raining atmosphere.

Yeah, bikes! They are everywhere, people riding with big speed & I was happy to see it in reallity, I just stand on the corner of the building and enjoyed how bikes were scurry & scurry around me.

I`m sure, there are more bikes in the city than cars, ahhaha  you know that`s a joke .

Maybe you noticed that there is only `oldschool bikes` , as I call them. There is a simple answer why.

My Dutch friend, said that people used to buy old bikes rather than new because of the robbers,who steal the new ones.

As you can see on this black&white photo, Groningen is well developed art, I can explain why.

This is the student city, there are living about 50k students from different countries. They effect on art , music and young  trends  in Groningen.

Groningen includes a lot of canals & if you want to dilute presence of bikes you can rent canoe or little boat , catamaran to enjoy the city at the other `water side` .

This is the one of the most popular places in Groningen, the square near the University of Groningen. Its one of the odest Dutch university was based in 1614 This place is full of bikes ,which are parking everywhere. Some students exiting from buildings, another are enering & its happening everytime!

The first thought , which came in my mind, it was how can I find my bike here? It`s possible? 

Locals sometimes prefer scooters but of course ,as I heard, Groningen is the Worlds Bikes Capital! Bikes scurring everywhere & after several hours stroll around the city I was tired because of this endless traffic... which I loved at the beginning of my trip.

But! I`m sure that this city is so quiet, every street full of calm. Groningen gave me a awesome impressions. I like cities like this, where is no so much place for bustles & the same time city attract  you a lot of opportunities!
